… a newsletter rooted in Holistic Health, Family & Homeschooling Life intermingled with Global Travel Adventures.
The invitation was utterly alluring. It was a sweltering summer day in the Midwest. Overgrown grass blanketed the temporarily deserted field. While school children reveled in their summer academic escapes, nature breathed in new life and quickly reclaimed the ground.
The heat was intoxicating, the view enchanting, and the memory meditative. With the solace of being completely alone, I lay stretched out, a colossus human eye level in this meadow of natural magnificence. The bees were buzzing ever so industriously over the towering tops of clover. A gentle breeze flowed like a soothing river of fresh cool air. Flowering clover pom poms bobbed high above the lengthy grass as if competing for the bees attention. Ants and other land bound crawlers bustled up and down this city of vibrant green stalks.
Life in that moment was peaceful and cathartic nestled in this microscopic habitat. Little did I know that by deeply embracing the moment and being fully present to the simple paradise of it all, I created a gift to myself, a memory I can submerge into at will and relive the magic anytime.
As a recent college graduate, I had no idea that the beauty of that restful wink in time would live on with me and bring me joy for decades to come. It would see me grow into a woman, see me traverse the world through more than 40 countries, see me explore entrepreneurship, see me grow friendships, see me rise and fall through my emotions, see me embark on a path of holistic, natural health and wellness, see me fall in and out of love, see me build a family full of love with my husband, see us raise our daughter, and see us enmesh homeschooling into our lives as older parents.
Homeschooling is a sacrifice and a blessing. It is a colossal contribution of my time. I am ever so grateful, thanks to my husband’s support, we have the option and capability to homeschool. For that reason, homeschooling is equally a joy of time spent with our daughter during fleeting, developmental, and precious years that pass so swiftly. Once she grows up, there's no turning back.
Now that our daughter is a little older and more self-sufficient, this writing journey beckons. I have wanted to write for so long, yet it is easy to fill my busy life with excuses. There is no perfect moment for anything we want to do. There is no perfect starting point, no perfect condition in which to make it happen. As my husband likes to quote Yoda, "Do or do not. There is no try."
So here I am starting this project, equally excited and anxious. I look forward to connecting with you. As I circle the sun in my 5th decade, I look forward to sharing stories of a life well lived, a life of failing forward, getting better, working on being my best, of learning more and more about being healthy naturally and healing naturally, of sharing what I've learned, what's worked, what I've changed, of motherhood, of raising our child and of course our busy homeschool life full of fun, friends, curriculum, crafts and sports, including my yoga time.
Far too often we take life at a brake neck speed, forgetting to delight in the joy of experiencing each moment. I invite you to join me on this adventure reveling in life’s precious moments… subscribe, support, stay in touch, and connect. Thank you in advance for your championing my work.
Cheers to the road ahead!
Aloha,

Side Note - Health Stuff I Love & You May Too:
I am in my 50’s and I am healthy. In our family, we live as chemical free, organic, and clean ingredient based as possible. We cook almost all our meals from scratch. We mostly eat real food, not food products. We love the Butcher Box delivery for clean and cared for sourced protein.
At 8 years old, my daughter understands the difference between organic and conventional, GMOs, seed oils versus good oils, proteins, carbohydrates, and sugars, and what to focus on for healthy living. And we supplement because we know our soils are not as nutrient rich as they once were. Plus modern innovation in the wellness longevity space is discovering supplements that are remarkably life changing. I share recommendations with you because I love these and want to help others to enjoy the value these supplements provide. May we life free, healthy, and with lots of love!

A fatty acid that has always existed is now understood to be an essential fatty acid that is totally awesome for our health.
